About Us
Sabroom Town is situated between 23.00* N Latitude and 91.73* E Longitude and it is 14.23 meter high from Sea Level. Sabroom Town is connected with Agartala and rest of Country by National Highway No 44 (NH-44). The Town is about 83 km away from Udaipur and around 134 km from the State Capital Agartala. The nearest Airport is Agartala at a distance of 140 km from Sabroom Town and the nearest Railway Station is at Badharghat, Agartala which at a distance of around 130 km from the Town.
Total Area of the Town is 5.06 Sq. Km, consisting 9 (Nine) Nos. Wards. Population as per 2011 Census is 7134 with an average annual growth rate of 2% from 2001 – 2011..
Prior to the declaration of Sabroom Nagar Panchayat it was notified as Sabroom Notified Area Authority and was declared on 1978.
Sabroom Nagar Panchayat was formed in the year 1995 in line with the 74th CAA. The area of Sabroom Nagar Panchayat has been increased from 2.53 sq. km in 1991 to 5.06 sq km in 2001. The area is 60% hilly and 40% is Plain land.
